There are two Sessions each year in the Hi-Racer Meet of Champions Distance Classic: the Open Day Session is closed; however, the Elite Invitational Night Session is open to all athletes who have met the qualifying standards.

The evening invitational 800, 1600 and 3200s will be run from 6:45 PM to 9:55 PM and will feature the top two to four heats in all three divisions in the 800, 1600 and 3200.
In that nighttime “Elite Invitational” section of the meet, we will run the full mile distance, but we will also have a finish camera at the 1600 meter mark to record official 1600 meter times.
These are the automatic qualifying marks that will guarantee your athlete is placed in the nighttime Invitational section of the meet. After all entries are received, the next athletes entered by time will also be added to the invitational and rated sections of the nighttime meet to complete the fields.
Division Boys Var Girls Boys FS
800 1:57.9 2:19.9 2:06.9
1600 4:19.9 5:09.9 4:33.9
3200 9:29.9 11:25.9 9:59.9
All entries will be done online through Athletic.net. If you have an outstanding runner who has not met the qualifying mark in 2026, you can certainly email additional information such as 2025 cross country achievements or relay leg splits to torourke04@yahoo.com to help us evaluate whether or not to place the athlete in the elite session of the meet.
You may continue to update your entries online until Saturday night, March 14, 12:00 midnight. We plan to have the seeding done by Monday night, and the entries and specific heats and start times will be posted on our website (http://www.mocdistanceclassic.com/ ) and emailed to each of you by noon on Tuesday, March 17th.
If there is any way we can make any part of this meet more of a positive experience for you or your athletes, please do not hesitate to call or let us know.
