Elite Night Invitational Session
Meet Entry Information for the
Meet of Champions Distance Classic– March 26, 2022
There are two Sessions each year in the Meet Of Champions Distance Classic: the Open Day Session and the Elite Night Session. We are sorry to say that our “DAY” session is completely full—we will not be accepting any additional schools into the Day session; however, your school’s top athletes may qualify to be placed in the Elite Night Session of the meet based on their qualifying times.
We will be awarding custom designed MOC medals for all races.
The evening invitational 800, 1600 and 3200s will be run from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM and will feature the top two heats in all three divisions in the 800, 1600 and 3200. This night “Invitational & Rated” section of the meet will be open to all individuals who qualify.
In that nighttime section of the meet, we will run the full mile distance, but we will also have a finish camera at the 1600 meter mark to record official 1600 meter times.
These are the automatic qualifying marks that will guarantee your athlete is placed in the nighttime Invitational section of the meet. If you have additional information that you feel may be helpful in seeding, please feel free to email me at any time

All entries will be done online.
We will once again offer a special “Invitational Double” option this year in all three divisions: Boys Varsity, Girls, and Boys Frosh-soph. Any athletes who are accepted into the Night “Invitational Session” in the 800 or 3200 will also have the option of running a special boys varsity, girls or boys frosh-soph 1600 meter heat that will be run following the final “Girls” 1600 heat and before the first “Boys Varsity 1600” heat—this will be about 4:30 PM in the time schedule. This should give athletes plenty of time to recover and run a great 800 or 3200 later in the evening.
If you have athletes you would like to avail themselves of this option, please enter them in both events just as you would normally with an accurate time for both events. Then, please send me an email letting me know you would like the athlete(s) to run the “Inv. Double” option 1600, and we will place them in that heat.
You may begin the entry process at any time—it is now open. You can update your entries on-line until Thursday night, March 17, 12:00 midnight. We plan to have the seeding done by Sunday night and the entries and specific heats and start times will be posted on our website (http://www.mocdistanceclassic.com/ ) and emailed to each of you on Tuesday morning, March 22nd.

Begin Entering: You may begin entering your athletes any time after you have received your specific login information.
Updating Entries: You may update marks, add new athletes, or delete athletes up until Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 12:00 Midnight. At that point no new entries will be accepted.
Entry Fee Payment: As soon as you are finished entering your athletes or after you have made final entry updates on Thursday, March 17, the web site will indicate exactly how much your entry fee will be.
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY THAT FULL AMOUNT ON MEET DAY BEFORE ANY OF YOUR ATHLETES ARE ALLOWED TO RACE. EVEN IF YOU BRING LESS ATHLETES THAN YOU OFFICIALLY ENTERED, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES YOU HAVE SUBMITTED BY THURSDAY, MARCH 17.

Each athlete may enter up to four events as per CIF rules
Elite Entry Fee:
$20.00 per athlete per event
(Make checks payable to “Arroyo High School”)
You may bring your entry fee check to the meet; however, if you do not bring a check for the full amount, none of your athletes will be allowed to compete.
Each race is a final and medals will be awarded for each race.

* We always increase the number of medals if we create larger fields. Most of the time we medal approximately half the field in every race.
